We are expecting you at Muzejski trg 1a in Celje and in local libraries in Dobrna, Šmartno v Rožni dolini, Štore and Vojnik. In our library, you can search for information, work, study, surf the internet and spend your leisure time.

In Celje, you can visit any of our four departments:

The Children’s Department – the Knjižnica pri Mišku Knjižku Library offers everything of interest to young inquisitive minds: books, storybooks, magazines, CDs, films and CDs for education and leisure time. There is always something going on in the children’s library, from story hours to solving book quizzes and more.

The Adult Department invites you with its broad selection of literary works in Slovenian and other languages, a selection of specialist and popular scientific books and an extensive collection of top films, all types of music and daily and popular print media.

The Study Department is aimed at all attending school and upgrading your knowledge. It offers an extensive collection of specialist books, literary works, newspapers, encyclopaedias, dictionaries and handbooks. The reading room provides peaceful room for studying, while we also provide computers with internet access and professional help in searching for information. We also provide inter-library loans service.

The Local History Department offers different material about the past and present life in Celje and its surroundings. In addition to books and newspapers, the department holds also valuable collections of photographs, postcards, posters, maps, manuscripts, graphics and other.

Local Libraries in Dobrna, Šmartno, Štore and Vojnik
The libraries located in your hometown also provide a selected and interesting collection of fiction and nonfiction books, newspapers and magazines, musical CDs, DVDs and CDs for children, young adults and adults. You can borrow newspapers and magazines to take home. In your local library, you can order and take delivery of material from other departments of the Celje Central Library.
